1. Responding to the digital transformation of agriculture
- Smart farming is a core field in the convergence of agriculture and ICT.
- Nurturing global agricultural technology professionals equipped with AI, IoT, and big data–based production, distribution, and management technologies is a national priority.
- By educating international students in advanced agricultural technologies, the program secures human resources for international agricultural cooperation (ODA) and contributes to the global standardization and export competitiveness of Korea’s agricultural technologies.

2. Global major specialized for international students
- Existing agriculture-related degree programs for international students focus mainly on fragmented technical training and lack systematic education that encompasses integrated smart farm design, operation, data analysis, and business modeling.
- This major combines English-medium lectures, field training, and capstone design projects to cultivate globally competent, practice-oriented agricultural innovators..
