
Educational objectives and introduction
Rapidly changing modern society needs professionals in the field of life sciences with professionalism and integrated perspective. The role of life science major is increasing due to the perceptions of people who desire to secure high life quality and the change of social environment. In this regard, this department is based on comprehensive and practical academic research while reinforcing professionalism and diversifying major fields.
- Major in Clothing Industry
The clothing industry course covers academic areas such as clothing composition, clothing design, textile design, traditional clothing, etc., and strives to educate excellent fashion professionals by actively accommodating various changing fashion areas. The major in clothing composition studies and educates the body type analysis for clothing composition, clothing dimensional standard by body type, pattern grading by clothing CAD system, the clothing design field studies and educates the movie costume analysis while the fashion design field, high value-added fashion design research and education In textile design and high value added fashion design, the textile design field studies and educates the textile design, digital textile design, fashion accessory design, fashion & coordination, design and colors, dyeing and art fabric while the traditional clothing field studies and educates modern Korean clothing history, modern Japanese clothing history, and Joseon dynasty’s clothing history respectively.
- Major in Nutrition & Culinary Science
In the 21st century, the dietary life is rapidly developing at home and abroad in response to social and environmental changes and demands. Therefore, Department of Nutrition and Culinary Science aims to cultivate professionals and leaders who can contribute to the development of nutrition and culinary science and lead the restaurant industry creatively and actively through understanding and education of empirical studies based on these changes.
